My first solo trip to Switzerland was during the 2015 Easter break. I had achieved a personal milestone and wanted to reward myself with something memorable. Throughout the trip, I was thinking if I could only live there, and a few years later I spent 4 months in Zurich for a project. I have toured around the country several times and even though ridiculously expensive, it's absolutely gorgeous!

Geneva

The Brunswick Monument is a mausoleum built in 1879 in the Jardin des Alpes in Geneva, Switzerland to commemorate the life of Charles II, Duke of Brunswick. Pleasant setting surrounded by a lakeside park.

Flower Clock (English Garden). One of the most famous symbols of Geneva is a large working clock made of flowers that changes with the seasons. A floral masterpiece made with more than 6,500 flowers. The enormous botanical attraction is a functioning clock that operates with characteristic Swiss precision. The Flower Clock was created in 1955 in honor of Switzerland’s world-famous watchmakers.

Jet d'Eau Fountain- pectacular fountain shooting water high in the air. The Geneva Water Fountain originally had a practical use: it was a safety valve for a hydraulic system that pumped water to the city’s artisans and craftsmen. Its beauty soon became apparent and it was moved to its current location where it was dedicated as a monument to Swiss Confederation. Today, the Jet d’Eau operates almost continuously and is powered by two pumps that jettison water skywards at 200 kilometres (124 miles) per hour to a height of 140 metres (450 feet).

Reformation Wall. This 60-foot stone wall was built in 1909 to commemorate Geneva's vital role in the Protestant Reformation.

Well known as the 'Greenwich Village of Geneva', the lovely old town of Carouge is lauded for its striking blend of French-Italian architectural style. It is one of the most culturally rich places to see in Geneva. Sitting quietly behind the river Arve, Carouge is a small town

Switzerland is in fact the birthplace of muesli. Originally, Swiss muesli was served less often as the classic breakfast as it was for a light meal. For example, in its homeland, it was frequently served as an additional delicacy along with the evening meal.
